Ever wonder why some colors just work together and others turn to mud? Join me for a beginner-friendly exploration of color theory, applicable to any creative pursuit. We’ll use acrylic paint as a hands-on tool to explore color mixing: You’ll mix your own color wheels and discover the principles behind color relationships. You’ll then get to experiment with building color palettes that will work together every time. No matter what your creative pursuit, this class will help you to better understand how to use and combine color to beautiful effect. You’ll leave with your own custom color guide and new color confidence for your next project. No painting skills are required, and a glass of wine is included!

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll experiment with shape, movement, texture, and color while creating your own expressive artwork in a relaxed and welcoming setting, and an included glass of wine to enjoy during class. Whether you're completely new to painting or simply looking for a creative night out, this workshop is designed to help you loosen up, have fun, and make something uniquely your own.

Ready to silence your inner critic and play with color? Unlike painting a portrait or a landscape, abstract art is about capturing a feeling, a thought, or something you can't quite put into words. This class will show you how, whether you've never touched a brush or just want to deepen your practice. Through a fun, repeatable process, you'll choose your own color palette, build a composition, and experiment with mixed media—with a deck of playful "cheat codes" to spark your creativity whenever you get stuck. There's no wrong way to make abstract art, and you'll leave with proof: a finished acrylic painting on canvas, ready to hang, all materials included, and a creative process that turns a blank canvas from intimidating to exciting.
